Apparel options in promo world just keep getting better.
Along with many of my colleagues, I recently attended the PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, to check out the latest trends.
My major takeaway: Promotional clothing is getting closer to what’s popular in retail.
Several true retail brands have been added recently to our marketplace, including New Balance, Russell Athletic and Eddie Bauer. In addition, promotional product suppliers are also providing plenty of options that follow retail trends in color, fabrication and design.
Because I can’t cram everything I saw into one big post, look for a new post about apparel trends on Fridays here at YourBrandPartner.com.
Today’s focus:
Patterns
Traditionally, in our promotional apparel world we have been stuck with solid colors. More bold colors started creeping into promo world last year. And there has been no shortage of fashion colors added this spring.
More recently we’re also seeing an expanded offering of stripes, special variegated yarns, and even gingham check! Ogio introduced a mélange yarn that produces a variegated striping pattern in a cool ladies’ tunic silhouette and men’s polo.
Stripes are especially prevalent in the Alternative line. Some are bold, others are more muted and called feeder stripes. One color logos look great on these stripes - make it distressed for a retail look.
Come back next Friday for a look at the hottest heathers and burnout fabrics.

I like the new stripes and I've heard a lot of buzz about the new Ogio. I always love seeing your top finds from the shows, Debbie.
